Roof surfaces we coat

How a coating job works

  1. Measure and inspect. The roof is measured section by section, with its curbs, drains, vents and skylights.
  2. Clean. The roof is washed so the coating bonds to a clean surface.
  3. Prime where needed. Some surfaces take a primer first so the coating adheres.
  4. Coat. One or two coats, sprayed or rolled. Rolling builds the specified thickness with less waste and can keep going in wind that would stop a sprayer.
  5. Pull test. Before a manufacturer's warranty is issued, test patches are pulled to confirm the coating has bonded.

Weather and the coating season

Coatings need dry weather and the right temperatures to cure. In southeastern Pennsylvania the coating season runs from spring into fall, and every job is planned around the local weather.
